Based on the novel “Tofu Kozo Sugoroku-dochu Furidashi” by Natsuhiko Kyogoku,Fukuda Kyoko uses her voice as “Tofu Kuzo” the man who lead the journey with various adventures.
The story is set in Edo period Japan and revolves around the young son of the leader of all yokai (fictional spirits and monsters from Japanese folklore). The boy is involved in various adventures as he carries a plate of tofu to the festival of Obon. Although he begins his journey as a feeble weakling with a silly outward appearance and no discernible talents other than carrying tofu, he experiences significant growth along the way.
