Horikita Maki is going to promote the newest novel of best-selling mystery novel author Higashino Keigo called “Hakugin Jack” through a commercial, it was announced today.
Higashino’s novels never fail to become best-sellers, his best works even crossed the magical mark of over one million sold copies. Many of his novels have also been made into dramas and movies, such as “Byakuyako”, “Tegami”, “Galileo”, “Ryusei no Kizuna” and more.
Horikita will also be starring in the movie adaption of “Byakuyako” that will open on January 29th, 2011. She has been a big fan of his novel since high school and has already finished reading his newest work “Hakugin Jack” that went on sale earlier last month.
“It was really exciting how the development suddenly started to speed up during during the second half of the story,” she said.
The commercial will air on WOWOW, the train channel of Japan Railways and several outdoor billboard screens.
