KARA’s debut Japanese single “Mister” got a weekly rank of #5 and sold 29k. The last time an oversea female group achieved a top 10 rank with heir debut single was 29 years ago.
For an asian girl group they are the first ones to achieve this. Meanwhile, Arashi’s album remained at the number 1 spot on the album chart selling 125k. This is the first time one of their studio albums achieved two consecutive weeks at number 1. The number one single for the week was Masaharu Fukuyama’s “Hotaru / Sh?nen”, which sold 158k.
