Galileo Galilei’s 2nd album “PORTAL” is just announced for release on January 25th, 2012. The album will include their 3 recent singles, “Aoi Shiori”, “Asu e”, and “Sayonara Furontia” along with 11 other songs for a total of 14. Release details follow,
Galileo Galilei 3 singles on this album have all had anime or drama tie-ins: “Aoi Shiori” was featured as opening theme song for Spring 2011 anime “Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai”, “Asu e” is featured as theme song for Fall 2011 anime “Gundam Age”, and “Sayonara Furontia” as theme song for this summer’s live-action adaptation of “Arakawa Under the Bridge”.
With an additional tie-in, the album’s first track is a new song “Imaginary Friends”, and will be the theme song for a “Young Jump” special edition "Aoharu" February 2012.
The band has also announced that Kazumasa Noguchi (Key) who participated in the recording of the album, has officially been added as a fifth member of Galileo Galilei (via their official blog site).
