Korea’s largest music festival “26th Golden Disk Awards Ceremony” is set for the Kyocera Dome in Osaka Japan and span two days on January 11-12 2012. The “Golden Disk Awards” aka Korea’s Grammy is best known to the POP music world as “K-award”, selects the Grand Prize based on the sales volume of CD and digital audio. KARA, Girls Generation (SNSD), MBLAQ, 2NE1, and Super Junior are just a few of the 36 nominees to be featured as the Golden Disk Awards.
This is the first time the awards show will be held outside of Korea and with all the attention Korean groups have received in Japan the past two years the choice was made to hold the event in Japan.
In addition, this year’s show will feature a “MSN Japan Award” that will allow fans to vote for the nominees. Votes are made by via a special site on MSN until December 26. So get your votes in! Super Junior is currently leading the way in the fan voting.
