LAMA held a live performance on December 1st to kick-off the release of their first album “New!” at B1 STAGE ONE Shibuya Tower Records in Tokyo. The group played to a full crowd of fans who were lucky enough to get one of the free tickets. Pictures and some details follow,
The four members of LAMA were setup on an intimate stage and the fans were buzzing as the stage and instruments were setup. A documentary video about LAMA was playing on video monitors around the venue. You can watch the roughly 10 minute video at LAMA’s official website.
During the warm-ups and sound checks Member Ushio Kensuke was warming up the guitar by playing K-ON! anime song “Fuwa Fuwa Time” riffs, that got the fans going a bit.
When the band got serious they treated everyone to “Warning”, “Cupid”, “Spell”, and “Blind Mind.” After that set list and without a word, the lights went down on the stage and an intense backlight gave a silhouette figure to vocalist Miki as the band performed “Dreamin.” At the end of this last song the audience applause continued for a long time…
