Claudia Madobe, Microsoft Japan’s new 2D-spokesperson and personification of the Azure cloud service is here to help IT professionals understand and get started with Azure.
Microsoft’s Windows Azure much like Amazon’s AWS provides virtual servers with configurable processing power, storage, networking and content delivery capabilities which can be adjusted on-demand to scale during times of high and low demand. Microsoft’s Azure also provides database services via SQL Azure services giving developers SQL Server databases in the cloud without the need to setup and configure a virtual server and license and install MS SQL Server.
For a much more fun explanation Claudia has launched a 4-part web manga “Cloud Girl – Mado to Kumo to Aoi Sora” (Cloud Girl: Windows, Clouds, and Azure Skies) with appearances by her cousin Nanami Madobe (Microsoft Japan’s Window 7 2D-spokesperson) and Ten-cho PC-store manager.
