The Mirai Suenaga character clock app is now available for free from the iTunes Japan store. The app developed by Cybernoids and Danny Choo uses a Live2D technology give a fun 3D-affect to the app’s display on the iPhone/iPad.
Mirai Suenaga is illustrated by Nao Shirahane and developed as the mascot character for otaku-entrepreneur Danny Choo and his TV show and website "Culture Japan." Danny demostrates the Mirai clock app in a video that follows,
Using the tap, pinch, or trace movements with the app you can get Mirai-chan to react in different ways. She doesn’t yet talk – but Danny says this feature will be coming in future versions. Also hinted at is an android based version of the app.
The Mirai Suenaga character has made featured guest appearances in anime, currently featured in opening theme for Culture Japan, and under development for the Mirai Millennium anime/OVA. Mirai also has many goods available including a figma action figure by Good Smile Company and “comfort” mouse pad.
The free app is only available via the Japanese iTunes store.
