AKB48 held their 4th senbatsu election in June to select the leader and members for their 27th single titled “Gingham Check”. Fans voted Oshima Yuko as leader with a total of 64 members from AKB48, NMB48, SKE48, and HKT48 selected to participate on this new single More details on the 2012 senbatsu election are available in an earlier report. The new single is set to hit stores on August 29th – more early details on the single follow.
