Group eyelis has announced their 3rd single “OUTLAWS” which will be featured as ending theme for anime THE UNLIMITED – Hyobu Kyosuke (THE LIMITED). Its eyelis’s 3rd single in 3 months and all have tie-ins as anime theme songs. Single “OUTLAWS” comes on one Regular CD-only edition and is scheduled to be in stores January 30th. eyelis consists of three sound producers Satomi Kawasaki (vocals,keyboard), Takeshi Masuda (guitar,vocals), and Wataru Maeguchi (strings) with strong ties to anime. They have individually composed and arranged anime songs including “God only knows” and “A Whole New World Good Only Knows” sung by Elisa and featured as opening themes for anime The World God Only Knows. Their debut album (May 30th 2012) “PRE-PRODUCTION” consists of 12 self-cover songs originally featured in various anime.
eyelis’s first single “CAN’T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU” released on November 14th and is featured as the theme song for Fall anime Hayate no Gotoku: Can’t Take My Eyes Off You. Their 2nd single “Hikari no Kiseki / Mirai e no Tobira” – a double-A side release has songs featured as the themes for a pair of anime OVA releases for The World God Only Knows (TWGOK) franchise. This single is getting ready for release on December 19th – more details are reported here.
Anime THE UNLIMITED – Hyobu Kyosuke is a spinoff series of manga/anime Zettai Karen Children (Psychic Squad) by Takashi Shiina. The original anime (2008) focused on three young girls in a world where many have ESP capabilities only these three have the highest level, level 7. They are part of a special ESP team ‘The Children’ and work for BABEL a organization that works to stop crime before it happens.
Many of the supporting characters return with more of a focus on the male characters lead by Hyobu Kyosuke who now heads revolutionary organization P.A.N.D.R.A. that looks to make a world safe for Esper’s.
Anime THE UNLIMITED begins airing in Japan January 7th 2013 on TV Tokyo. Outside of Japan no official announcements yet but given Crunchyroll.com’s relationship with TV Tokyo they will likely have it for internet streaming. Check our Crunchyroll updates page.
