HIMEKA has announced a new single “Where I belong” that is featured as the ending theme for TV Tokyo’s late night variety show Audrey no Kami Appli Shin Seiki Up Date. This is the 4th single from the Canadian born singer who can boast being the winner of the 2008 Japan Anisong grand prix competition. HIMEKA after winning the Anisong competition, besting over 3100 applicants, she signed with Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Her debut single in 2009 was song “Ashita e no Kuzuna” featured as the opening theme for TV anime adaption of game Valkyria Chronicles. HIMEKA’s next single “Hatenaki Michi” was featured as ending theme for anime Tegami Bachi.
HIMEKA has recently moved record labels to amluleto/5pb.Records and “Where I belong” is her first single with her new label. She will appear live at the upcoming 5pb artists live event “Live5pb.2012” which will be held at Tokyo Dome City Hall on November 24th.
