HIMEKA has updated the track list for her new single “Where I belong” which has tie-in as the ending theme for TV Tokyo’s late night variety show Audrey no Kami Appli Shin Seiki Up Date. This is the 4th single from the Canadian born singer and first since changing record labels to amuleto/5pb. “Where I belong” comes in one CD-only edition and hits stores October 24th – updated release details and promotional music video follow.
HIMEKA made her splash in Japan by winning the 2008 Anisong competition, besting over 3100 applicants, after which she signed with Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Her debut single in 2009 was song “Ashita e no Kuzuna” featured as the opening theme for TV anime adaption of game Valkyria Chronicles. HIMEKA’s next single “Hatenaki Michi” was featured as ending theme for anime Tegami Bachi.
To celebrate the release of her new single “Where I belong” HIMEKA will hold a talk and handshake at AKIHABARA GAMERS Head Office 8F on October 27th 12:30pm.
HIMEKA will also appear live at the upcoming 5pb artists live event “Live5pb.2012” which will be held at Tokyo Dome City Hall on November 24th. Other artists performing include Asami Imai, Kanako Ito, and more. More details at 5pb website (link at bottom).
