KARA has announced they will get animated! The girls will get their own anime KARA THE ANIMATION which is scheduled for Spring 2013. The anime is scheduled for 5 episodes with each featuring one group member – Nicole, Jiyoung, Gyuri, Seungyeon, and Hara. KARA will also provide the theme song for the anime with a yet to be announced new single. Read on for more details…

The 5-episode anime series will feature one member each episode as a fictional character – Nicole as a boat captain, Jiyoung as a firefighter, Gyuri as a police officer, Seungyeon as an astronaut, and Hara as a security officer protecting a royal family. The girls will get their first chances at voice acting when they provide the voice for each of their characters. Dialog will be in Korean with Japanese subtitles.
Animation production will be by Korean company Dongwoo Animation with production by DSP Media and SBS MTV. Unknown yet which TV stations will pickup the anime.
Details are still limited but fans who attend the live event KARASIA 2013 HAPPY NEW YEAR in TOKYO DOME on January 6th 2013 will get to see a preview of KARA THE ANIMATION.
KARA most recently released their 3rd Japanese album “Girls Forever” – which includes singles, “Speed Up”, “Girl’s Power”, newest single “Electric Boy” and more for 15 total tracks. The album comes in three editions and hit stores November 14th – more details available in an earlier report.
