Mami Kawada will be providing the opening theme song “Borderland” for upcoming anime “Jormungand”. The single with the theme song and to be announced additional track(s) is set for release on May 30th. The single release will come in 2 editions, a Limited with bonus DVD and Regular CD only edition – jacket covers and track details aren’t yet official. More release information follows,
Mami Kawada has provided many anime tie-in theme songs most recently for “Shakugan no Shana III” (release details) and “Toaru Majutsu no Index”. The new single will be her 13th overall.
Anime “Jormungand” is based on manga of same name and will being airing April 10th. The story centers around female arms dealer and mercenary Koko Hekmatyar and former child-soldier Jonah. The ending theme song will feature Nagi (Yanagi) and her song “Ambivalentidea” (posted here).
