May’n announced she will deliver her new song “Aozora” digitally only starting October 11th. The song will be featured as the ending theme for Fall anime BTOOM! which airs starting October 4th. May’n also announced release another song “Mr. Super Future Star” on November 22nd via digital outlets. This song has tie-in as theme for Capcom game E.X. TROOPERS. Read on for more details.
May’n’s new single “Aozora” is composed by Honma Akimitsu who previously collaborated with the singer but this is the first ballad song. Her second digital single “Mr. Super Future Star” is composed by Watanabe Takuya and will be an uptempo song.
May’n most recently released a live DVD/Blu-ray of her “May’n ☆ GO! AROUND that captures her performance at round stage of Yokohama Arena on March 20th. The release includes 27 songs and behind the scenes footage – it hit stores on August 8th. More details here.
Anime BTOOM! is adapted from manga by Inoue Junya and follows the story of Sakamoto Ryota an unemployed 22 year old who is one of the top players in an online game called Btoom. After falling asleep as his desk he awakes on a tropical island with no memory of how it got there. He soon realizes he’s in some real-life version of his favorite game in which death is all too real.
BTOOM! is produced by Madhouse Studios and begins airing late-night October 4th in Japan on Tokyo MX. Its announced that Sentai Filmworks has licensed the anime which means it should be available on Crunchyroll and The Anime Network for streaming outside of Japan but no official word yet on streaming availability. May’n’s song “Aozora” will be available via Chaku-Uta starting October 4th no specific information yet on iTunes or other specific digital stores.
