NHK – One year from the Earthquake ~Ashita e~ Concert – AKB48 SMAP Perfume

Broadcaster NHK has announced a public live program, “One year from the Earthquake, ‘Ashita e’ Concert” as a milestone to the eastern Japan earthquake. The event will be on March 10th 2012 which marks the one year anniversary. NHK will broadcast 6 hours of live performances held at two venues – Messe Makuhari Event Hall in Chiba and Fukushima Sukagawa in Tohoku. More details and who’s announced as participating follows,

Selected as the Host for the event is Nakai Masahiro of SMAP – “Please watch this show and as you enjoy watch I hope that you will support our singers and performers. As SMAP, through song we bring forward the thoughts for tomorrow.”

AKB48, SMAP, and Perfume so far have been announced for the venue at Messe Makuhari – expect about 10 groups total. At Sukagawa, Tohoku so far the performers are; Kitajima Saburo, Sakamoto Fuyumi, Hitoto Yo, and Hirahara Ayaka.
