The members of band School Food Punishment posted on their official website that they would be going on hiatus starting February 1st 2012. Currently there is no decision on when they might resume activities as a group. They did say to look for the members in different musical activities in the future and these will be revealed on their blog and twitter accounts. More information follows,
School Food Punishment is Uchimura Yumi (vo), Hasuo Masayuki (Syn), Yamazaki Hideaki (b), and Hidai Osamu (dr). The 4 form the group in 2004 and have released 8 singles, 2 albums, and 3 extend-play CDs from 2007-2011.
Of their single releases 6 have tie-ins with anime or TV drama – notably 3 of their singles are used in the 2009 anime series Eden of the East. Single “futuristic imagination” as ending theme for the TV anime 
series “Eden of the East”, single “light prayer” as main theme to anime movie “Eden of the East, The King of Eden”, and single “future nova/after laughter” used each song as opening/ending theme respectively in anime movie “Eden of the East, Paradise Lost”.
Most recently School Food Punishment’s December 2011 single “How to go” was featured as the opening theme to TV anime series “UN-GO”.
