supercell lead by composer ryo has updated the release details for new single “Giniro Kamihikoki” – cover jackets and full track list are revealed. The new song from supercell, their first in 8 months, is featured as opening theme song for anime movie Nerawareta Gakuen. The single “Giniro Kamihikoki” comes on three editions and hits stores December 19th – updated details follow.
Its been over 8 months since supercell released single “Kokuhaku / Bokura no Ashiato” featured as ending theme songs for TV animes Guilty Crown and Black★Rock Shooter respectively but leader ryo continues to be very busy producing music as EGOIST, anime Guilty Crown, and credited as himself.
ryo released “ODDS&ENDS” feat. Hatsune Miku that hit stores August 29th and album release “Extra terrestrial Biological Entities” for unit EGOIST from anime Guilty Crown on September 19th. ryo was in charge of all music for the hit anime, teaming with his vocalist chelly to produce the songs for EGOIST.
EGOIST has recently updated the details on their 3rd single “Namae no Nai Kabutsu” which is featured as the ending theme for TV anime PSYCHO-PASS. The unit’s first single not associated with anime Guilty Crown. More details are reported here for the single that releases December 5th.
Nerawareta Gakuen is adapted from novel by Mayumura Taku which previously has twice been adapted as a live-action movie (1981, 1997) and four times as a TV drama but this is the first anime adaption. It follows the story at Kamakura Junior High School where new transfer student Kyogoku attempts to blend in and make friends with other students Kenji, Kahri, and Natsuki. But slowly Kenji notices strange things going on at the school and with his friends…something is very different with this new student Kyogoku.
Nerawareta Gakuen is produced by Sunrise and opened in theaters October 19th 2012 in Japan and UK. More details on theaters and dates available at the anime’s official website (link below).
The anime movie features popular AKB48 idol Mayu Watanabe voicing a lead roll of character Natsuki and she is also providing the main theme song “Sayonara no Hashi” as a b-side on her new single “Hikarumonotachi” – more details available here.
