The WEATHER GIRLS have updated their Japanese debut single “Koi no Tenki Yoho” release information – cover jackets are revealed. Their debut single which translates to “Weather Forecast of Love” is produced by Jeff Miyahara and is offered in two editions. “Koi no Tenki Yoho” is scheduled to hit stores October 17th – updated release details follow.
WEATHER GIRLS are based in Taiwan and have been an Internet sensation since 2010 bring their cute, dancing daily weather forecasts on Taiwanese news network NMA TV and Next TV. Each forecast features one member delivering a cute short message speaking their best Japanese while several of other members do an equally cute dance routine. All this as the weather forecast for major cities in Taiwan or the United States scrolls by.
After much hinting via their Facebook page the girls formed a full singing idol group and signed up with Japanese record label PonyCanyon in July.
To celebrate their debut single the WEATHER GIRLS held a “just before Released” event at Tower Records in Shinjuku on September 16th. The girls greeted fans with a talk, weather report, and handshake line.
Their debut Japanese single “Koi no Tenki Yoho” comes in two editions that share the same CD track list,
– Limited with bonus DVD that includes music video and self-produced member introductions. Includes event lottery ticket.
