Yeo Hee recently released her debut single “You & I” for digital download only via iTunes Japan on October 17th. Sometimes known as the “AppleGirl”, Yeo Hee has used music apps on the iPhone and other devices to produce popular cover songs, gaining popularity that lead to signing with a record label, and now her first original single “You & I” is released. One of our early reports here at Comtrya Sugoi back in 2010 was on Korean Yeo Hee (known by her full name Kim Yeo-hee) and her Youtube video featuring her cover of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” using an array of 4 iPhones as her musical instruments (view it here). The popularity of the video lead to world-wide attention and her landing the record contract from which she has now made her debut appropriately with a digital single “You & I”.
Yeo Hee has also appeared this month on the Weathernews “SOLiVE Moon” and has a new feature introducing music apps on the AppBank iPhone app site. So far Yeo Hee has given 3 introductions with accompanying Youtube video. Links for these follow after the videos.
Yeo Hee’s “You & I” is available now at the Japanese iTunes store with two tracks a regular version of the song and a live version – link after the preview videos..
