BUMP OF CHICKEN announced their 7th original album RAY that includes 6 singles, new songs, and more for 14 total tracks. Its been over 3 years since the group released their last original album Cosmonaut (2010.12.15). Album RAY comes on two editions scheduled to hit stores March 12 2014 – read on for more details.
Rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN most recently released a pair of greatest hits albums BUMP OF CHICKEN I 1999-2004 and BUMP OF CHICKEN II 2005-2010 on July 3rd 2013. The albums dominated the Oricon charts when they released and landed in the 20th and 21st spots on the 2013 annual ranking.
New album RAY includes their singles,

– Good Luck (2012.01.18) OP movie Always Sanchome no Yuhi ‘64
– Zero (2011.10.19) OP game Final Fantasy Type-0
– Smile (2011.05.11) charity single for Tohoku earthquake/tsunami
– Tomodachi no Uta (2011.02.23) OP anime movie Doraemon: Nobita and the New Steal Troops Winged Angels
The album also includes newest digital single Niji wo Matsu Hito that released August 21st 2013 and has tie-up as theme song for the Gatchaman live-action movie that premiered August 24th 2013.
