Eir Aoi IGNITE jacket covers and more revealed, OP anime Sword Art Online II

Eir Aoi (藍井エイル) has updated the release details for singe IGNITE! – jacket covers, full tracklist, bonuses, and teaser PV all unveiled. Her 7th single is featured as the opening theme for the second season of popular anime Sword Art Online (Sword Art Online II Phantom Bullet). Single IGNITE comes on three editions hitting stores August 20th 2014 – read on for all the details and PV.

For her new single singer / songwriter Eir Aoi or Aoi Eir is writing the lyrics for all three new songs plus she composes coupling track Utakata.

Previously Aoi Eir provided the theme song for special OVA episode Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION with her 6th single Niji no Oto (虹の音). The single release simultaneously with the airing of the special episode on January 1st 2014. Her 3rd single single INNOCENCE (2012.11.21) was used the second opening theme for SAO’s first season.

The second anime adaption of Sword Art Online (SAO II) from light novels by Reki Kawahara (illustrated by abec) start with novels 5 & 6 set in the Gun Gale Online game world where guns are the main focus. In the novels the game becomes highly competitive bringing in professionals who can earn money that can be exchanged for real world currency.

SAO II is set to air starting July 5th 2014 on Tokyo MX in Japan. Outside of Japan the first season of SAO and SAO EXTRA EDITION simulcast on provider Crunchyroll and they are also simulcasting SAO II.
