KANJANI8 (関ジャニ∞) as fictional unit Eight Ranger are getting ready to relase single ER2 featured as the theme song for movie Eight Ranger 2. Coupling track Kagero is used as insert song for the movie that continues the story with the members as hero unit Eight Ranger. Popular vocal group KANJANI8 (関ジャニ∞) just released single Omoidama (オモイダマ ) with tie-up as the theme song for the Japan High School Baseball Championship 2014 (2014ABC) and TV Asahi program covering the games Netto Koshien (熱闘甲子園). Their 26th single also features high school wind-instrument musicians chosen by audition to participate on the single. Single Omoidama released July 2nd 2014 selling over 168,000 copies opening week easily giving the group another #1 on the weekly Oricon charts.
The first Eight Ranger movie premiered 2012.07 and Eight Ranger 2 continues the futuristic hero/comedy movie. KANJANI8 members are featured as hero unit Eight Ranger plus ex-AKB48 Maeda Atsuko has a featured roll in the new movie.
Movie Eight Ranger 2 premiers July 26th 2014 in Japan.
Single ER2 comes on three editions. The Limited include DVD with extended content and different versions of the ER2 music video. The Regular CD-only includes additional coupling track and karaoke versions.
