Mami Kawada Break a spell new single release details, ED2 anime Tokyo Ravens
Mami Kawada is getting ready to release new single Break a spell featured as the second ending theme for anime Tokyo Ravens. Its her 14th single and both songs on the release are written by Mami Kawada. Single Break a spell comes on two editions dropping February 26th 2014 – more details follow.
Singer songwriter Mami Kawada released her 13th single FIXED STAR about year ago on February 20th 2013 (more details). FIXED STAR has tie-up as the main theme song for anime movie Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki (A Certain Magical Index: Miracle of Endymion). Mami Kawada has been responsible for many songs in the Toaru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index) anime franchise. For the first anime season (2008) her singles PSI-missing and masterpiece were featured as opening theme songs. In season two (2010) she provided both opening theme songs again with singles No buts! and See visionS.
Mami Kawada also released a greatest hits album BEST -BIRTH- back on February 13th 2013. The album includes 12 singles along with new songs and more for 16 tracks. More details on the album are here.
Anime Tokyo Ravens is adapted from light novels by Kohei Azano and follows the story of boy Harutora from a family of occult practitioners. However his occult skills are lacking and now is an just an ordinary high school student. Childhood friend Natsume and next head of the family reunites with Harutora and sets him on a course to change is destiny.
The anime stars Kana Hanazawa (Natsume), Aki Toyosaki, Eri Kitamura, and Kaito Ishikawa (15) (Gargantia; Ledo) in lead roll of Harutora. Anime Tokyo Ravens began airing in Japan October 8th 2013. Mami Kawada announced special mini-live and talk release events for her 14th single with participation tickets given to purchasers of the single via animate stores.
