Anime Chaika The Coffin Princess (Hitsugi no Chaika, 棺姫のチャイカ) adapted from light novels by Sakaki Ichiro continues a second season – Chaika The Coffin Princess ~ AVENGING BATTLE ~. The story follows Acura Toru and his obsessive sister Acrua Akari both highly skilled “saboteurs” out of work now that a long a bloody war has ended. Because they have nothing better to do they are now following Trabant Chaika, Chaika carries a coffin and collecting pieces of the defeated emperor, her father that have been scattered among 8 heroes who defeated him. Duplicate Chaika’s find each other and each motivated to gather the pieces of their father for different reasons. More truths begin to unfold regarding Chaika’s existence and the meaning of their quest.
The anime produced by BONES, aired its first season April 2014 and continues this fall starting October 8th 2014 in Japan on Tokyo MX.
