Rock band the pillows are getting ready to release single About A Rock’n’Roll Band and revealed a preview music video, jacket covers, and more. Its their 36th single and the final release commemorating their 25th anniversary. The single’s title track also gets tie-up as ending theme for TV Tokyo’s Moya Moya-samaazu 2. Originally forming on September 16th 1989, the pillows have released 35 singles and 18 albums over their long and popular career. The last released 35th single Happy Birthday on September16th 2013, the start of their 25th anniversary NEVER ENDING STORY.
the pillows also announced a new original album Moondust (ムーンダス) set for release on October 22nd 2014 (more details coming). Its their first since 18th album TRIAL released over two and a half years ago (2012.01.18). They’ll also hold a moondust tour hitting venues across Japan starting November 30th 2014 at LIGHT HOUSE, Mito.
The band’s final 25th anniversary live NEVER ENDING STORY “DON’T FORGET TODAY!” is scheduled for October 4th 2014 at Tokyo Dome City Hall.
