The Sketchbook also has anime song (anisong) cover album announced for release on February 26th 2014. The album’s title and 10-song track list haven’t yet been revealed – more details coming. Most recently the band released their 8th single Asu he / Exit on September 25th 2013. Title track Asu he or Ashita e was featured as ending theme for music show Count Down TV on TBS TV for the month of September. Other title track Exit has tie-up as the second ending theme for anime TV series KINGDOM season two (more details).
The band The Sketchbook was formed originally around the anime SKET DANCE which ended its run of 77 episodes in September 2012. Their first 5 singles and 11 total songs had tie-ups with the anime as opening and ending themes plus insert songs. The band is now out on their own with four singles and 2 albums released or planned for release.
To support their 9th single and anisong cover album the band is holding several launch events. The events feature a mini-live with open viewing, handshake and signing meeting reserved for purchasers of either edition of the single or album, and purchasers of both the single and album get an instant photo with members,
