Kishida Kyōdan & The Akeboshi Rockets (岸田教団&THE明星ロケッツ) revealed more release details for new single GATE ~Sore wa Akatsuki no Yoni~ (GATE～それは暁のように～). Their 3rd major label single has tie-up as opening theme for upcoming anime GATE: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri (GATE 自衛隊 彼の地にて、斯く戦えり). Unit Kishida Kyōdan & The Akeboshi Rockets is a doujin music unit that formed in 2004 and continues to have independent releases during Comket events. Their major label debut with single HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD on August 18th 2010 has tie-up as opening theme for anime HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD.
Anime GATE: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri (GATE 自衛隊 彼の地にて、斯く戦えり) is adapted from light novel series by Yanai Takumi and illustrated by Kuroshishi. In the story a gate suddenly appears in Tokyo and monsters, medieval knights, and other fantasy beings pour out and start killing citizens. A small group of soldiers from the JSF are sent through the gate led by otaku soldier Yōji. The force finds villages in the alternate world being attacked by a dragon and rescues an elf girl who survived the attack. The JSF force along with the elf-girl travels across the dangerous new world.
The anime features Haruka Tomatsu (Pina), Maaya Uchida (Shino), Yoko Hikasa (Yao), and Junichi Suwabe (Yoji). It starts July 3rd 2015 on Tokyo MX.
Single GATE ~Sore wa Akatsuki no Yoni ~ (GATE～それは暁のように～) comes on three editions. Most stores offer bonus b2-size double-sided poster with Limited and Limited Anime jacket cover illustrations.
