Special combi KOTOKOxALTIMA updated the release details for single PLASMIC FIRE – jacket covers and preview music video revealed. The single gets tie-up as theme for upcoming anime movie Accel World: Infinite Burst (アクセル・ワールド INFINITE∞BURST). Single PLASMIC FIRE comes on four editions hitting stores July 20th 2016.
Unit ALTIMA consists of fripSide’s composer Satoshi Yaginuma, Move’s Mototaka “motsu” Segawa (rap lyrics, rap vocals), and Maon Kurosaki (lyrics, vocals). They formed in 2011 have been associated with anime Accel World as they provided the 2012 TV anime series 2nd opening theme Burst the Gravity (2012.07.25).
Singer / songwriter KOTOKO similarly continues her association with the anime having provided the TV series 1st ending theme →unfinished→. The single’s Limited edition includes re-mixed version of both songs.
Anime Accel World is adapted from light novel series by Kawahara Reki who also writes the Sword Art Online novel series. The new movie Accel World: Infinite Burst (アクセル・ワールド INFINITE∞BURST) is an all new story written by Kawahara.
The movie returns key characters as well as introduces new characters including Kusakabe Rin voiced by Yuuka Nanri and Tsukiori Risa (Akasaki Chinatsu). It premieres in Japan July 23rd 2016.
Single PLASMIC FIRE comes on four editions. CD track list differs on KOTOKO and ALTIMA versions. Coupling track TRUE-BLUE (KOTOKO) gets tie-up as theme for game BLAZBLUE CENTRALFICTION.
