Tetsunosuke has been ordered to deliver a letter for Hijikata. However, he's captured by the radical Joi Check It Out gang in the process. Tetsunosuke had concealed his identity to join the gang, but now they know that he has connections to the police. He's taken hostage as leverage over the Shinsengumi and Mimawarigumi. However, the Mimawarigumi shows no concern for the hostage and plots to place the blame squarely on the Shinsengumi. Hijikata and the other members are enraged after learning Isaburo's plans. The Shinsengumi and Mimawarigumi are now in an all-out fight.

After the discovery of a hot spring on their land, Saito decides it is the perfect time to have a hot springs party. Though he invited everyone, an unforeseen guest appears and shocks the crowd.

Like A Stray Dog Bunji has met Taiga, who is five years older than him, and whom he hasn't seen for a while. He was heavily influenced by his bad boy behavior. Carrying that, she was about to confess her love to an upperclassman, but when she sees one of her classmates is going to be transferred to another school... Big Collaboration Bunji is supposed make an art piece in a group using paper mache. But everyone wants to make their own — a fire truck, a dinosaur, a castle — and what they want to make don't match, so they each started to make on their own...

Gon and his friends have advanced to the final phase of the Hunter Exam. The final phase is a tournament where the winners are out and the losers advance. The rule is that if you kill your opponent, you'll be disqualified. The first mach is Gon versus Hanzo. Gon can't do anything against Hanzo, but he refuses to give up. Hanzo is losing his patience and threatens to break Gon's arm.
