The WBC Cup begins, and Gao and his rivals fight to become the Best 8 of Cho-Tokyo. Bal becomes convinced that the only way to win is to increase one's luck. As Noboru battles Gaito, he's forced to face some hard truths about destiny and luck.

Gao and his friends try to help a mysterious cat find Gaito. Their search leads them to a Buddyfight between Gaito and Kyoya Gaen. Azi Dahaka and Abygale's past is revealed, as Kyoya goads Gaito into showing him the power of his Impact Monster.

Bal looks for a coach to help him train hard for the WBC Cup. Tetsuya's Buddy Demon Lord Asmodai takes Bal under his wing and challenges him physically and mentally, culminating in a Buddyfight with Bal and Gao's partnership at stake.

Bal is given special permission to attend classes. A jealous student tries to get him in trouble by framing him for a crime. Jack and Tasuku work together to clear Bal's name... by challenging the villain to a Buddyfight!

When Gao forgets an important promise, Bal quits being his Buddy Monster. A mysterious dragon named Abygale takes the runaway Bal under his wing, but Gao suspects that Abygale's buddy Gaito has been challenging kids to Buddyfight and taking their cards.

Bal is eager to play Buddyfight, but is frustrated when everyone points out that he's not playing by the rules. Jackknife Dragon offers to teach him a sure-fire way to win without getting complaints. Meanwhile, Tasuku transfers to Aibo Academy.

Gao Mikado, a 6th year student of the Aibo Academy Elementary Division finally pulls a buddy rare card which unfortunately, turned into a mysterious egg! After the egg hatches Gao names him Bal only to encounter Kyoya as he attempts to take Bal away.

The battle against Yamigedo reaches its climax as Gao faces his greatest challenge yet. Hyakugan Yamigedo seems to be indestructible, but Gao still has a secret weapon: the card that his one-time foe, Ikazuchi, has given him.

Hyakugan Yamigedo's powerful abilities prove to be too much for Ikazuchi. As all seems lost, Tasuku receives aid from an unexpected ally: Kyoya and Suzaku. Gao is brought to the distant future to battle Hyakugan Yamigedo over the fate of humanity.

Kyoya and Sophia are unable to control Yamigedo. As Yamigedo evolves into a final form, Ikazuchi and Tasuku team up to defeat the monster and save everyone. Yamigedo teleports to the future, and faces Ikazuchi in a battle for the world.

Tasuku and Gao confront Suzaku over his betrayal, while Sophia collects the Inverse Omni Lord cards. Shido steals one of the cards, and Sophia manipulates him into battling Gratos with the card as the stakes. Meanwhile, Kyoya puts his plan into motion.

Shigamine surprises everyone by teaming up with Kazane to battle Kemura and an evil Captain Answer. Kazane struggles with her guilt, while Shigamine learns what it truly means to be a hero. Tasuku uncovers the truth about Suzaku, Sophia, and Kyoya Gaen.

Ban and Genma face off in a manly showdown. Neginoyama is cornered by Shigamine, who reveals the surprising truth about Hero World and the ninth Omni Lord. Kazane and Kemura's fight takes a disastrous turn, spurring Captain Answer into action.

Kiri and Rouga's opposing personalities lead to friction. Still bitter over his defeat at Kiri's hands, Davide suggests a tag match. Much to Noboru's annoyance, Kiri's evil double, Dark Miserea joins the fight and taunts Kiri, hoping to break his heart.

Gao briefly reunites with Ikazuchi before his next challenge: a Buddyfight against professional wrestling champion Kazuchika Okada. The Fifth Omni Cavalry Dragons struggle as they face Crazed Tenbu. Can they really fight their Lord Tenbu's double?

Zanya and Tetsuya face the Inverse Fiend Horde in their first ever tag match, but Zanya isn't surethat his partner's up to the task. Faced with twice the number of Inverse Omni Lords, he soon learnsthat team work is the key to victory.
